WORLD CUP 2007

What went wrong .........................???

I am not here to criticize the Indian team or the coach for their pathetic performance in the world cup but here I will comment on what really I observed in the three matches played by India .
India loosed first match just because of their over confidence that we could see during the game and due to not having proper planning , moreover the foolish decisions taken by the team led them to the shameful defeat. This defeat was just enough to make the crazy Indian cricket crowed exaggerate there regret and they started criticizing in their stupid way of vandalism. In the match with Barmuda team tried to make up and they really did to some extent and could manage to cool down the crowed . With this huge victory many thought that the defeat with the Bangla Desh was mere an accident. It really dawned the new hopes to be the world winner, and that win was truly deserving it .Then the day came when we encountered with Shri Lankan's . In this do or die scene Indian ballers played their role well , I mean it was up to the reputation of Indian team. But this feel good could not last for long time and in the next inning those combatant Shri Lankan ballers trapped all the Indian batting line. The way Vaas took the wicket of Ganguli showed the intelligent game of Lankan's and I must say, that's the thing which I could not find with the Indian's. No one was prepared to struggle to survive on the pitch, no one was ready to take up the challenge. Sehewag who scored highest of all was also not looking confident with his game .
This is a game , here your name , fame doesn't work but what works is your confidence , presence of mind , attitude towards the game and to have all these one needs to devotedly prepare putting his heart, mind, body and soul together. Did Indian's really prepared the way it is said ?... Nothing but their performance answers the question. It was also observed that till the last moment team was experimenting . None of the players was knowing their roles properly it seems and Mr chappel has to take the responsibility for this . Even the players like Master Blaster despite of his world records and ample experience was not looking comfortable. It clearly indicates that they are able to do but were not prepared to do . Here I appreciate the efforts of Dada but there was also a different reason behind his efforts which we all know well . Now how and who can make these Indian players to play to their full ability? If I am asked to answer this question then I will say ...
First of all, put some restrictions on their participation in different adds. BCCI must make some rules that will restrict cricketer's corporate life and confine them only to the play-ground well before a month and half any series begins . This will really make them concentrate on the game with their heart, mind, body and soul together. As far as coach is concerned, I say none other than those great Indian cricket icons like Kapil Deo, Sunil Gaoskar deserve for it. Because they know the psychology of Indian players well than any foreigner and hence are sure to prove more effective. In addition they being Indian will have an extra moral responsibility to make the India a winning team. As far as the issue of partiality in selection of players suspected to be done by native coaches is concerned, that can be very well addressed by the management I think. Here is an earnest appeal to all Indian cricket fans, please change the way of showing regret against the team or any individual player for their unexpected or bad performance. If someone attacks their houses or burns their posters then they are sure to loose their concentration and patience too which naturally will affect their performance more adversely. More over the media is also found guilty in a way or other for the same and need to stop exaggerating the scenes.
Keeping all this in mind and remembering the lesson from the history let us start to make an India a Winning Team ............!
